OMG! I finished reading it this morning. The 'it' in question being Bad Moon Rising by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It was released August 4th and is the most recent addition to the Dark-Hunters series. Let's just make this clear, my review is neither unbiased or impartial. After being a HUGE fan of the series for the past 5 years of my life, I think of the characters as both real people and as my friends/family. Yes, I'm slowly going insane. I whole heartedly blame this series; they're that good!
But on to the review:
Honestly, I'm not sure if I loved it, or hated it. After I finished reading it, I spent a good hour crying over characters lost. I swore (as me, and several other fans, had already been asured that atleast one major character would die) that aslong as Kyle, Simi, Acheron, and Nick were all still breathing after I'd finished the book, I would be fine. But I was wrong. I am soooo not fine. Losing Nicolette and Aubert (Mama Lo and Papa Bear) Peltier is surprisingly hard. But obviously that's not the only thing to happen in the book, nor is it the major event. The book over all was extremly well written and kept me on my seat, even though, from previous books, I knew several of the events that it would contain. It also answered several questions about the bears that had been stacking up. Kyle is an Aristos! of course several fans had already guessed that by now. But few of us had even thought that Aimee was an Arcadian, let alone an Aristos. And that many of the other bears were Arcadians as well, totally blew my mind. I had to write it down (with my new Acheron pen =D) so that I would know, a week from now, that I hadn't made that up. Of course I'm super happy that Aimee and Fang are mates. I hope they'll be able to have children. Being from to different species (Fang-Katagaria wolf, Aimee-Arcadian Bear) that's always the question. And I'm really glad Vane had the common sense not to hand over his brother to Savitar, even though in the end Sav was really trying to help. If the wolf had turned over his brother, I'd have had to kill him. But in the end, most things were good. except for the lost of the Peltier matriarch and patriarch. It was a happy ending tainted with mourning.
The only questions the book has left me with are:
*What's going to happen now that Sanctuary is no longer a limani?
*What's gonna happen to Sanctuary without Mama Lo and Papa Bear?
*Will Fang and Aimee have children?
*What's going to happen now that people are starting to discover that Daimons have found a way to walk in daylight?
