So much has happened in the last month. Lost two men I loved. Moved out of my parents home, just to move back a month later. I'm in a terrible fight with my best friend and inspiration, and his hatred for me is so great that he would rather see me dead than forgive me. My great-grandfather as well as my great-great aunt died in a two day period, happening only days after my fight with my friend. So if all that doesn't spark something in my stories, I don't know what will!!! On a more cheerful note, I have started college! I've met a new guy there who may be able to help me with my writing and perhaps provide some inspiration for a character. I"m also trying to rekindle the romance with my ex-fiance. And Autumn is in full swing here! The leaves are changing, everywhere you look there's apples and pumpkins and indian corn. Halloween merchandise litters the shelves at stores. Even the air is getting a crisp autumn feel to it. I cannot begin to explain how wonderful that is! Also, I finally got my drivers permit! Wohoo! Next Friday is my hometown's homecoming and I'm completely looking forward to going to the football game. Got that bobcat pride going on! I'll keep you all updated on my work in the coming weeks!
Blessed Be Darklings,

Love is suicide
Me and my Fiance just broke up a few days ago. Not really a break up. We're calling it "taking a break", but it's none the less difficult for me despite the fact that it was my idea. It's put a halt on most of my projects as I need some time to think and examine what I feel and think and want. I had intended to get back with him in about 6 weeks, but he's starting to act as if he's opposed to the idea. Luckily, my best friend is there saying whatever happens does for a reason.
So just hang in there and I'll have some new stuff up soon.
Blessed Be Darklings,
Ella

Welcoming the Harvest!
True signs of the harvest season won't appear for another month, but don't be fooled, it's here!
Sorry I've been m.i.a most of the summer. Things have not been running smoothly. It's been a very emotional few months, and it hasn't started to improve yet. I've had very little time to write, read, or paint since the beginning of June. Although, everything that's been happening has given me a new idea for a story, though I'm undecided as to whether I'll share it with anyone other than my self as it's more or less a fictionalized account of my life starting July 2010, though at first glimpse no one would recognize it as such.
I start working at my local Renaissance Festival (Click for more info Michigan Renaissance Festival) which should provide some inspiration. If you've ever been to a Ren Faire you know exactly what I mean. You never know what you're going to see or hear. And trust me, I need such a muse at the moment. I have a fully sketched painting that needs some color, a novel that needs finishing, and another that needs revisions and editing so it can be sent to publishers (I'm hoping Llewellyn will pick it up under it's teen novels).
Currently I am doing tons of research on Russia, especially the Romanovs. I have a bit of an obsession with the Tzar Nicholas II and his family, particularly Anastasia. Those close to me could tell you why, but you most likely would not believe us. And I have plans to write a biography about her, and my personal theory of why she and Alexei were buried separately from their family. If those bodies are their's at all (dun dun dun). I'm also currently learning to speak Russian. If anyone has any book suggestions on the Romanovs, Russian Culture, or the language, please feel free to comment!
I'll be checking in again soon.
Until then Darklings,
до свидания

WOOT!
Hey guys, got some cool news for ya'll! I'm getting dreads! My brother/best friend Nick is a hair stylist and is going to dread my hair when we go camping in july. I am psyched! We're also going to dye them purple. And I'll finally be getting my lip pierced soon. I'm also going to go vegetarian again. On top of that, I think I'll be spending a few days at my gramma's to have a few veg out days to just paint and write. Hope you all are loving your summer so far!
P.S. the banner below is for an awesome site I found. Lots of good dread pics, dread beads and hats, and other products for keeping dreads beautiful!

Missing You
I’m trying so hard not to miss you
but you’re everywhere I look
from the evening sky
to my favorite book.
Friendship should last forever
not a temporary fling
But look at what broke us
look how much my friendship meant.
So I guess I’ll just be honest
I miss you
and I’ll never stop,
there’s nothing you can do.
It’s the one thing you can’t take from me
though I’m sure you’d try.
I’ll cling to the memories,
while they’re still mine.

Wondering. . .
I have a really cool synopsis that I just dug back up. It was inspired by an Evanescence photo shoot. I saw the pics and the synopsis kinda just slammed into my brain. Problem is, it's a bit different story than I normally write. Yes, all my novels have some sort of romance going on, but it's usually not the main plot of the story. it's just a plot device to keep the story moving. This on the other hand would be a straight up ROMANCE novel. I kinda want to write it, but I blush just checking those types of books out at Barnes and Noble. I read them. Lots of them. I know I could write them, and be wonderful at it. But I'm still unsure. So I'll post the synopsis here and see what y'all think.

Summer!
Okay, so I know what a lot of you are thinking. . . Summer isn't for two more weeks. Well technically, in my faith, it started back on May 1st, which makes a lot of sense given the weather we're having!

Life
I kinda just need to vent at the moment of I think I'm going to throw up. All my perfect little plans are blowing up in my face. I should be used to this by now, but I'm not. Go figure. I couldn't care less about school at this point. The only person I want to spend my time with is always otherwise occupied. I guess the saying is true, Life's a Bitch and then you die; And if you're lucky you stay that way.

February Updates
I haven't gotten as far on my writing as I would have hoped, but things have been busy. My best friend is visiting from Utah this week, and should prove to be some inspiration as he usaully does. I'm also planning a short story involving Egyptian mythology so I'm in the middle of doing tons of research! Actually my school had a mix up this morning involving a book I'd requested. My school has two campuses, I go to the East campus and I needed a book from the West campus, well for some reason the book was actually at East campus but needed to go back to West, so one of the Librarians took it back to West, only to get back to East and find out she needed to go get it! This just isn't helping me. But I'm a good sport and didn't throw the fit I wanted to, because it really isn't that big of a deal. I'll just have to pick it up tomorrow. *sighs* Also, my personal computer is down and has most of my writing on it, so the excerpts I had planned to post this month will most likely be late. But I'm hoping to have my computer back on track in a few weeks. So till then,
Happy Haunting Darklings,
~*Ella Sterling*~

Winning streak.
Today has been a rather interesting day, and it's only 8 o'clock. Today is my four-month anniversry with my boyfriend, but as usual, it's an awful one. He canceled on me. And he was my ride home today. :( So at 6am this morning I had to find another ride. I was not happy. On top of that I got my hopes up, as I really wanted to spend the day with him. But since getting to school, I think the universe is trying to cheer me up. A teacher from last semester sent me a bag of candy with a little ticket to turn into the office to be placed in a drawing for an award. I got a certificate from the principal for "positive behavior" and "making GBHS a better place". Whatever. Lame. I don't know what I even did. But it kinda did make me feel better. Then, like 10 minutes later I got an envelope with a paper inside saying I'd one a prize in a drawing from one of my fave teachers and that I have to go to her room to get my prize. I kinda hope this streak keeps going 'cause I still feel like crap. But who knows.

Life is complicated
My monthly post is coming late. Sorry. Things are very complicated on my end. Love is one of the most complicated things in the world. The best thing. And the worst. And I have a feeling things are going to get very complicated very fast.
On the writing front, I'm no longer on my school newspaper and that will open up alot of time for my writing. I've broken ground on my new series, and you'll be floored with the first experpt which should be posted by the end of february!
Happy reading Darklings!
