True signs of the harvest season won't appear for another month, but don't be fooled, it's here!
Sorry I've been m.i.a most of the summer. Things have not been running smoothly. It's been a very emotional few months, and it hasn't started to improve yet. I've had very little time to write, read, or paint since the beginning of June. Although, everything that's been happening has given me a new idea for a story, though I'm undecided as to whether I'll share it with anyone other than my self as it's more or less a fictionalized account of my life starting July 2010, though at first glimpse no one would recognize it as such.
I start working at my local Renaissance Festival (Click for more info Michigan Renaissance Festival) which should provide some inspiration. If you've ever been to a Ren Faire you know exactly what I mean. You never know what you're going to see or hear. And trust me, I need such a muse at the moment. I have a fully sketched painting that needs some color, a novel that needs finishing, and another that needs revisions and editing so it can be sent to publishers (I'm hoping Llewellyn will pick it up under it's teen novels).
Currently I am doing tons of research on Russia, especially the Romanovs. I have a bit of an obsession with the Tzar Nicholas II and his family, particularly Anastasia. Those close to me could tell you why, but you most likely would not believe us. And I have plans to write a biography about her, and my personal theory of why she and Alexei were buried separately from their family. If those bodies are their's at all (dun dun dun). I'm also currently learning to speak Russian. If anyone has any book suggestions on the Romanovs, Russian Culture, or the language, please feel free to comment!
I'll be checking in again soon.
Until then Darklings,
до свидания
